Managing to Motivate
In this programme, we aim to ensure that your managers are fully aware of how much their own performance is dependent upon the performance of their staff.
We emphasise that managing staff is not an "add-on" to their regular work - it is an integral part of their work and their role as a manager. And the best managers are movitational managers.
Although we do not dwell on theoretical models of management and motivation, it’s useful to understand some motivational theory and concepts so that managers can reflect on their management style and assess the effect this has on creating a motivational environment around them.
We help managers build their own motivational toolbox, develop their interpersonal and intrapersonal management and communication skills and guide them in planning their strategy. Back at the workplace they will put their plans into action, gather feedback and report on their results. This will guide their subsequent choices of action.
On-going feedback and validation form part of this programme.
